What is Clubline?

Clubline is a unique service to clubs, associations and groups in
your local area.

The principle behind Clubline is to allow groups of isolated people to communicate simple and effectively.
The idea came from a sports background but has much wider uses which you are free to explore.

Anyone that is familiar with running a sport club will relate to the difficulties coaches, managers and members face.  Clubs are usually run by volunteers who provide their team for free and offer a valuable service to members of their team.  So you can imagine how difficult it can be for these people when plans are changed or circumstances relating to their club change.  Clubline is designed to help these people run their club more effectively, spending less time on administration and widening the interest in their team.

There are currently three important features in the FREE version of the Community Times Clubline service

Editable Clubline listing
ClubLine
This allows the designated club associate to update the details such as contact details, club image (jpeg) and text box.  The text box allows them to enter a “free text” description which could be details about the club, up and coming fixtures or news on social events.  This is all done by accessing their Control Panel at www.communitytimes.co.uk/clubline and entering their unique PASSWORD and USERNAME.

Club Report

This audio feature allows clubs to record voice messages using a mobile or landline phone message.  This message can then be uploaded to their Clubline listing.  As soon as they logon, select the appropriate recording and update the record, the new message will automatically update in their Clubline listing.  Typically clubs will use this service to leave up to the minute reports on the latest game.  They should be encouraged to leave messages that include the result, who scored, goals or points, who was the player of the team and who else did well.  Adding an opinion to the game and the effects that has on them and their competitors will provide interest and general regular visitors to the site.  By giving name checks it will make people visit your site to hear about their friends, family and even revivals.

Most clubs will have a history of past players and members.  Many of these won’t play an active role in the club anymore but still have a genuine interest in the latest news.  Clubline recording make this easier for them to stay in touch.

So why use the phone to do this?  Almost everyone has access to a phone and often a mobile.  It’s easy to call a number and just talk.  Leaving a 2 or 3 minute message is easy to do and can often be done from the club-house or field.  People are far less likely to create a written report.  The audio report is also easy for interested parties to listen too.

Club News
ClubLine
This works in the same way as the Report but is focused more on logics.  Messages can contain information about training sessions, kickoff times, venues and even social requirements such as dress code.
